Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has conferred the First-Class Order of Zayed II on Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE, in recognition of his outstanding diplomatic service and efforts to enhance the longstanding brotherly ties between the two nations.
The award was presented to Ambassador Tirmizi by His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi.
On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Al Marar extended warm greetings and praised Ambassador Tirmizi’s dedicated role in advancing the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.


Expressing his gratitude, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said he was “overwhelmingly delighted and deeply humbled to receive this prestigious honour.” Conveying the greetings of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, he thanked the UAE leadership and people for their consistent support to Pakistan.
“This recognition is not mine alone,” Ambassador Tirmizi said. “It is a testament to the collective efforts of my team at the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate General in Dubai, and the vibrant Pakistani community across the Emirates, who have all contributed to strengthening Pakistan–UAE relations.”
