Karachi: U.S. Consul General in Karachi, Scott Urbom, called on Faryal Talpur, President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Women Wing, at Zardari House in Karachi. He was accompanied by Dr. Shelley Saxen, Chief of the Political and Economic Section, and Political Officer Elijah Jatovsky.
The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive environment, focusing on key areas of mutual interest including U.S.-Pakistan bilateral relations, trade and investment opportunities, and the importance of political stability and democratic governance.
PPP Leadership Joins Discussion on U.S.-Pakistan Cooperation
Several senior PPP leaders were also present during the meeting:

- Jam Khan Shoro, Sindh Minister for Irrigation

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued cooperation, particularly in promoting inclusive and sustainable development. Mrs. Talpur appreciated the U.S. Mission’s engagement with Pakistan’s democratic forces and reiterated the PPP’s commitment to democratic values, women’s empowerment, and regional peace.
