Karachi: A total of 35 students from four universities, including FUUAST, Indus University, SZABIST, and KUBS, joined the Student Ambassador Program. The SBPBSC Karachi Office hosted the event under the “Banking on Equality” campaign. This program promotes financial literacy and addresses gender inequality in the banking sector.
Training and Internship Opportunities
The program included a Training of Trainers (TOT) session led by the SBP team and commercial banks. They focused on improving financial inclusion and reducing gender gaps. The student ambassadors were tasked with holding awareness sessions on financial literacy at their universities. They also received badges for their efforts and gained internship offers from banks.
Visit to SBP Museum
As part of the program, students visited the SBP Museum to learn about Pakistan’s banking history. This visit helped them understand more about the industry and added to their knowledge.
Promoting Financial Literacy and Gender Equality
The program aims to give students knowledge about the banking sector. It also promotes financial literacy and gender equality in Pakistan. The students will now help spread this awareness in their universities.
