Karachi: The Russian Center for Science and Culture celebrated Voluntary Day with a heartwarming initiative at Tarun Sukhon Old Age Home. Over 30 students, including aspiring doctors from various universities, participated in the event, showcasing their commitment to community service.
Supporting the Elderly with Essential Supplies
Volunteers provided essential household cleaning supplies and equipment to help maintain a clean and comfortable environment for the residents. Their efforts began early in the morning, ensuring every corner of the old age home was spotless.
Tasks included making beds, cleaning bedrooms, dining areas, hallways, and washrooms, as well as assisting with dishwashing and laundry. The dedication and teamwork of the volunteers brought a renewed sense of comfort to the home.
Preparing for the Festive Season
With Christmas just around the corner, the event also included festive preparations. Volunteers decorated Christmas trees, hung glittering ornaments, and transformed the old age home into a cheerful space filled with holiday spirit.
