Karachi: In a bid to promote community welfare and improve public health, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) organized a free medical camp at the Government Girls Secondary School, Lyari. The initiative aimed to deliver essential healthcare services to underprivileged residents of Lyari and nearby areas.
The PNSC Medical Camp offered a range of free healthcare facilities, including general OPD consultations, skin check-ups, blood sugar and cholesterol testing, and on-site medication dispensing.
Operating from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the camp provided medical assistance to nearly 500 individuals, reflecting PNSC’s growing focus on accessible community healthcare.
Senior PNSC leadership — including CEO Syed Jarar Haider Kazmi, Capt. Mustafa Kizilbash (Chairman CSR Committee), and CFO Syed Zeeshan Haider Taqvi — attended the event alongside members of the CSR team to oversee operations and engage with the community. Their presence underscored the corporation’s hands-on commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
In a statement, PNSC reaffirmed its dedication to supporting underprivileged communities through continued health, education, and social outreach programs. The initiative, it said, is part of the organization’s broader mission to enhance social well-being and build a healthier future for coastal and urban populations alike.
