Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday met Ikram Ullah, a student from the 2022 flood-affected Qilla Saifullah district of Balochistan, and expressed his delight over the young man’s remarkable academic progress.
During the meeting, which was broadcast on national television, the Prime Minister recalled his first encounter with Ikram Ullah during a visit to the flood-hit region, where the student’s school had been destroyed in the devastating floods that submerged vast areas of Balochistan. At the time, Ikram had shared how he and his classmates had to travel long distances to attend school.
The Prime Minister commended Ikram Ullah for his dedication to education and praised his teachers and parents for their unwavering support. He expressed satisfaction at the student’s continued academic success, noting that such determination was an inspiration for the youth of Pakistan.
Speaking at the occasion, Ikram Ullah thanked the Prime Minister for awarding him a scholarship and covering his educational expenses. He acknowledged the Prime Minister’s role in supporting students from underprivileged areas and expressed his resolve to work for the nation’s progress. Ikram shared his ambition to appear in the CSS examinations and serve the country in the future.
Encouraging Ikram to maintain his focus and dedication, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented him with a gift as a token of appreciation. The meeting reflected the government’s commitment to uplifting youth from remote and underserved areas, ensuring they have access to quality education and opportunities for growth.
