Morocco’s support during 2022 floods

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its fraternal ties with Morocco, built on common faith, shared values, and mutual respect. Speaking during a meeting with Morocco’s Ambassador, Mr. Mohamed Karmoune, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, he emphasized the need to further enhance cooperation in diverse sectors for the mutual benefit of both nations.
The President expressed gratitude to Morocco for its support during the devastating 2022 floods in Pakistan, calling it a testament to the depth of friendship between the two countries. He underlined Pakistan’s strong interest in boosting economic relations, noting that Africa is on the cusp of significant economic growth, with Morocco — owing to its remarkable development — poised to play a leading role in regional prosperity.
President Zardari extended his best wishes for the health of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and conveyed warm regards from the people of Pakistan to the King and Moroccan citizens.
