Ankara: The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara hosted the vibrant Pakistan Mango Festival, delighting Turkish guests with a flavorful showcase of Pakistan’s world-famous mangoes. Known for their exceptional sweetness, rich flavor, and captivating aroma, Pakistani mangoes are hailed globally as the “king of fruits.”
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid praised the premium quality of Pakistani mangoes and Pakistan’s status as one of the top producers in the global mango industry. He highlighted the dedication of Pakistani farmers who cultivate over 100 unique mango varieties, including Sindhri, Anwar Ratol, Langra, Maldah, Dusehri, and Fajri. Each variety reflects the country’s rich agricultural heritage.
Ambassador Junaid also expressed optimism about expanding mango exports to Turkiye, citing the Turkish people’s appreciation for rich and refined flavors.
Governor of Ankara, H.E. Vasip Şahın, lauded the mangoes’ exceptional taste and acknowledged the deep-rooted Pakistan-Turkiye bilateral ties, emphasizing the importance of continued cultural and economic cooperation.
Guests enjoyed the famous Chaunsa mangoes, alongside a variety of mango-based dishes including smoothies, pudding, shakes, mango chicken curry, salads, and desserts.
The event attracted high-profile Turkish dignitaries, diplomats, business leaders, media personnel, and representatives from TUGIDER, TUROB, and leading retail chains, further strengthening Pakistan-Turkiye trade and cultural relations.
