Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai commemorated Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir to mark the sixth anniversary of India’s illegal and unilateral actions on August 5, 2019, aimed at altering the internationally recognized disputed status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). The event was attended by members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities residing in the UAE.
Support for Kashmiris Reaffirmed by Pakistan’s Consul General
Speaking at the event, H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, emphasized the importance of observing Youm-e-Istehsal as a symbol of solidarity with the oppressed people of IIOJK. He reiterated that India’s unilateral measures are in blatant violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and the UN Charter.
The Consul General condemned the continued human rights violations in Kashmir, stating that these actions cannot crush the legitimate and peaceful struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
Kashmir Issue Remains a Core Priority in Pakistan’s Foreign Policy
H.E. Hussain Muhammad stressed that the durable solution to the Kashmir dispute lies in its resolution in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the relevant UNSC resolutions. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to extend unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Referring to this year’s developments, he also highlighted the symbolic significance of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, carried out by Pakistan in response to Indian aggression, as a testament to Pakistan’s national resilience and firm stance on Kashmir.
Messages from Pakistan’s Leadership and Special Documentary Featured
Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Kashmiris, were read out during the event. A special documentary showcasing India’s ongoing human rights abuses in IIOJK was screened, highlighting the plight of Kashmiris under occupation.
