Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai hosted a key meeting with officials from the Consulate General of Bangladesh to exchange best practices for improving legal and welfare support for their diaspora communities in the UAE.
Representing Pakistan were Mr. Fawad Ali Khan, Head of Chancery; Mr. Imran Shahid; and Mr. Junaid Murtaza, Community Welfare Attachés. The Bangladeshi delegation included Mr. Md Ashfaq Hussain, Counsellor & Head of Chancery; Ms. Shahanaz Parvin, First Secretary (Labour); and Mr. Md Abdullah Al Mamunur Rashid, First Secretary (Consular).
The discussions covered a range of shared concerns, including enhancing legal awareness among low-income workers, improving collaboration with UAE authorities on labor rights, strengthening dispute resolution mechanisms, and capacity building for consular welfare staff.
Both missions emphasized the importance of joint outreach initiatives and agreed to maintain regular coordination through collaborative workshops and knowledge-sharing platforms aimed at enhancing services for expatriates.
