Karachi: A 12-member Indonesian business delegation is showcasing a diverse range of products at the 6th International Consumer Product Fair, held from 12-15 December 2024 at the Karachi Expo Centre. The Indonesian Pavilion, located at the heart of Hall 5, spans 60 square meters and offers valuable business opportunities for Pakistani agents, distributors, and importers.
The pavilion features a wide array of Indonesian products, including tea, coffee, soap, food and beverages, snacks, and agricultural items like ginger, potatoes, coral gum, and more. These products aim to strengthen trade relations and introduce Pakistani consumers to the variety of offerings from Indonesia beyond its well-known palm oil exports.
Indonesian Consul General Commends Delegation’s Efforts
Indonesian Acting Consul General Teguh Wiweko praised the dedication and determination of the business delegation for exploring opportunities in the Pakistani market. He emphasized the importance of increasing communication and interaction between the two countries, stating, “Indonesia is primarily known for its palm oil in Pakistan, but we offer much more than that.” Mr. Wiweko expressed confidence that the expo would promote greater trade cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan.
Support for Enhanced Economic Engagement
Dr. Ahmad Syofian, Consul for Economic Affairs, also highlighted the Indonesian government’s commitment to supporting the delegation’s participation at the expo. “This is a significant step toward strengthening business ties between Indonesia and Pakistan. We look forward to the fruitful outcomes of this exhibition,” Dr. Syofian remarked.
