Karachi: Pakistan’s youth are increasingly turning to social media as a path to financial independence and creative success — a trend championed by Shahid Shehbaz, popularly known as “Baloshi Vlog.” The well-known content creator, prank video specialist, and digital media star has emerged as a role model for young people seeking to build sustainable careers online.
Speaking at a youth engagement event, Shahid Shehbaz highlighted that effective and responsible use of social media platforms could help young Pakistanis earn millions of rupees and even generate income in dollars.
“Social media, when used correctly, can change lives. With creativity and persistence, it is possible to achieve both fame and financial stability,” he said.
Shahbaz encouraged content creation in local languages such as Urdu, Saraiki, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashto, Balochi, and Hindko, noting that linguistic diversity can help creators connect with wider audiences across the country. He cited his own channel, Baloshi Vlog, as an example of how engaging, original, and culturally rooted content can achieve success on platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
He urged aspiring creators to maintain high production standards and to focus on content that not only entertains but also educates and raises awareness.
“Through hard work, perseverance, and the smart use of technology, young people can build a name for themselves and contribute to Pakistan’s progress,” Shahbaz said.
His message has inspired a growing number of young Pakistanis to view digital media not just as a source of fame, but as a viable and dignified profession.
