Los Angeles: Angelina Jolie is preparing to bid farewell to Hollywood and start a new chapter overseas. According to People, the Oscar-winning actress plans to sell her Los Angeles home and relocate abroad as soon as her twins, Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 in 2026.
“[Jolie] never wanted to live in L.A. full time,” a source told the outlet, explaining she was bound to the city due to her custody arrangement with ex-husband Brad Pitt. Now that the lengthy legal battle has ended, she is eyeing several international destinations, including Cambodia, where her son Maddox was adopted.
Jolie, who shares six children with Pitt — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne — has long expressed her desire for privacy and a more peaceful lifestyle. “When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
The couple’s acrimonious eight-year legal battle ended in December 2024, finalizing a divorce that began in 2016. While Jolie has chosen not to speak ill of Pitt, insiders say she is “relieved” to finally close this chapter.
Once free to move, Jolie plans to split her time between multiple countries, visiting family members around the world and immersing herself in humanitarian work — far away from the Hollywood spotlight.
