KARACHI: Karachi Gymkhana witnessed a distinguished evening, as the Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP), in collaboration with Creative Marketing Services, hosted a prestigious Diplomats and Corporate Dinner.
The event was a testament to the strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and the global community, with its central purpose being to honor the remarkable contributions of Mr. Muhammad Irfan Soomro, Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan.
A Gathering of Esteemed Dignitaries’ As Vice Chairman of Diplomatic Affairs and Protocol, I had the distinct honor of welcoming our respected Chief Guest, Mr. Muhammad Irfan Soomro, alongside an impressive assembly of prominent diplomats and corporate leaders.

With my background in aviation, tourism, and hospitality management, I deeply appreciate the importance of fostering diplomatic relationships and creating economic opportunities. As an Executive Member of the FPCCI Standing Committee on Tourism Economy, I work closely with key institutions such as PTDC, FPCCI, TDAP, TDCP, STDC, and various provincial tourism departments in KPK, Gilgit, and Kashmir, ensuring sustained growth in Pakistan’s tourism sector.
Recent years have witnessed Pakistan’s remarkable progress in both diplomatic relations and travel connectivity. The resumption of PIA flights to Europe and the launch of AirAsia and Uzbekistan Airways operations from Karachi signify major milestones in strengthening the economy.
These achievements are a testament to the visionary efforts of the Government of Pakistan, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Defense, and provincial tourism authorities.
Throughout the evening, esteemed Consul Generals shared insightful discussions on key challenges, improvements, and future prospects, expressing deep admiration for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A special acknowledgment was extended to Mr. Muhammad Irfan Soomro, whose exceptional leadership, dedication, and diplomatic expertise have significantly elevated Pakistan’s global standing, fostering meaningful connections with the international community.
Having had the privilege of meeting Mr. Soomro on multiple occasions, I hold profound respect for his integrity, vision, and tireless commitment.
