Karachi: Preparations for the first edition of the Kashmir Supreme League (KSL) are in full swing, with the tournament scheduled to be held in Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi during May-June this year.

Moin Khan Joins KSL as Executive Director of Cricket Operations

Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan has officially joined KSL as the Executive Director of Cricket Operations. The contract signing ceremony took place at a local hotel in Karachi, attended by former cricketers, KSL Chairman Masood Ahmed Khan, and other dignitaries.

Speaking at the event, Moin Khan expressed confidence in the league’s potential, stating:

“Kashmir Supreme League will become a major cricketing brand. The success of the league depends on ensuring players receive their dues. With big names like Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi on board, the league promises to be a grand event. A talent hunt program will also be launched to discover emerging players.”

KSL to Provide Platform for Emerging Talent

KSL Chairman Masood Ahmad Khan emphasized the league’s role in promoting cricket and showcasing a positive image of Kashmir globally. He highlighted the inclusion of legendary players like Wasim Akram, Shahid Afridi, and Moin Khan, stating:

“Their presence will be invaluable in making KSL a success. The league is designed to provide opportunities to young cricketers and bring Kashmir’s talent to the forefront.”

Additionally, players from KSL will have the opportunity to be included in Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators.

Kotli Kings Franchise Agreement Signed

The event concluded with the signing of the franchise agreement for Kotli Kings, further strengthening the league’s foundation.

With top cricketing stars involved and a structured approach to player development, Kashmir Supreme League is set to make a strong impact on Pakistan’s cricketing landscape.
