Karachi: A 16-member delegation from Pakistan, including officials from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and prominent business leaders, is set to participate in the 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2025. The event will be held throughout January 2025 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal, Dhaka.
Interactive Meeting Held at Bangladesh Consulate
Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, S.M. Mahbubul Alam, hosted an interactive session with the delegation at the Chancery on December 2, 2025. He invited Pakistani business leaders to explore trade opportunities in Bangladesh and emphasized the importance of trade diversification and stronger bilateral ties.
Highlights of Dhaka International Trade Fair 2025
The DITF 2025, organized by Bangladesh’s Commerce Ministry in collaboration with the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), features:
- 361 Pavilions and Stalls: Showcasing a variety of products including textiles, electronics, furniture, leather goods, jewellery, and processed foods.
- International Participation: Companies from Türkiye, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia will join local enterprises in exhibiting their offerings.
- Seminars and Networking Opportunities: Sessions focusing on potential sectors and products aim to foster collaborations and expand trade avenues.
The fair is recognized as a dynamic platform for blending tradition with innovation, offering business opportunities and cultural exchanges.
Support for Pakistani Delegation
The Deputy High Commissioner assured the Pakistani delegation of full cooperation, including expedited visa processing and logistical support. He highlighted the fair as an excellent opportunity to enhance business-to-business connections, boost bilateral trade, and contribute to export growth for both countries.
