Karachi: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi emphasized the importance of education for development and encouraged Pakistan to offer free visas to foreign investors. Speaking at The Future Summit in Karachi, he noted that Pakistan had supported the UAE during difficult times and suggested that free visas would foster stronger economic ties between the nations.
Dr. Al Remeithi urged the Pakistani government to enhance the experience of investors, from airport arrivals to hotel stays, making it memorable and welcoming. He praised the hardworking and resilient nature of Pakistanis, emphasizing the need to focus on work and development following the vision of the UAE’s founder.
Highlighting the role of youth, he acknowledged the contributions of Pakistani youth working abroad and emphasized the need for more domestic opportunities for young people. He recalled Pakistan’s strong agricultural base during former President Musharraf’s era and recognized Pakistan’s contributions globally. Dr. Al Remeithi further noted that development is a collective effort, stressing that the government cannot achieve it alone. He also announced significant investments planned for Sindh’s energy sector.
