Karachi: Emmy Award–winning American actress, host, and producer Zuri Hall has accepted an invitation to participate in Comic Con Pakistan 2026, following her meeting with Syed Aamir Sajjad, President of Comic Con Pakistan, at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles.
During their meeting, both discussed the upcoming international pop culture convention, scheduled to take place on January 31, 2026, at the Karachi Expo Center.
Expressing excitement about the event, Zuri Hall said she was “delighted to learn that Comic Con is being organized in Pakistan on such a large and international scale,” adding that the event “will mark a new milestone for Pakistan and bring together artists from the global entertainment industry.”
President Sajjad briefed Hall on the event’s vision, emphasizing its role in showcasing Pakistan’s creative industries and fostering international collaboration. He also revealed that he is among the world’s largest private collectors of Hollywood movie memorabilia, owning rare artifacts from major blockbuster films.
During the meeting, Sajjad introduced Hall to the official mascot superhero of Comic Con Pakistan — ‘Superhero Pakistan’ — a character symbolizing national pride and global connectivity. Hall praised the design and concept of the character and was intrigued to learn that a Hollywood feature film based on “Superhero Pakistan” has entered pre-production, with principal filming expected to begin in New York next year.
Comic Con Pakistan 2026 aims to highlight Pakistan’s cultural and artistic diversity, bringing together local and international artists, technologists, and creative professionals from across the showbiz, gaming, and entertainment sectors on one platform — promoting a positive, dynamic image of Pakistan to the world.
