Zurich: FIFA has announced an extraordinary response to the presale draw for the 2026 World Cup, with over 1.5 million ticket requests submitted within the first 24 hours. Fans from 210 countries applied, marking one of the strongest openings in World Cup history.
The highest demand came from the three host nations — United States, Mexico, and Canada — followed by Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, England, Spain, Portugal, and Germany.
The 2026 edition will be the first-ever World Cup featuring 48 teams, with 104 matches spread across 16 host cities in North America. The presale draw remains open until September 19, with successful applicants to be notified via email starting September 29.
Ticket prices will start at $60, with dynamic pricing applied depending on demand. FIFA also confirmed that additional sales phases will begin in October.
