Karachi: The Depilex Smileagain Foundation (DSF), in collaboration with L’Oréal Pakistan, celebrated the country’s first-ever Beauty for a Better Life (BFBL) graduation ceremony, empowering women survivors of violence with vocational skills in the beauty industry.
The event, held at Depilex Karachi, honored 60 graduates who successfully completed a four-month training program in haircare, skincare, makeup, and salon hygiene. Alongside technical expertise, the program provided tools for confidence-building and pathways toward financial independence.
“Beauty for a Better Life is about reigniting hope and restoring dignity. With Fondation L’Oréal’s support, we’re helping women rebuild their lives with courage and skill,” said Masarrat Misbah, Founder of DSF.
Part of a global initiative by Fondation L’Oréal, the BFBL program has already empowered over 67,000 women worldwide by using beauty as a platform for social reintegration and change. Pakistan now joins this global movement, with DSF spearheading local implementation.
Rehan Saeed, Executive General Manager of L’Oréal Pakistan, emphasized: “We believe beauty can transform lives. Today’s graduates are a testament to resilience, empowerment, and hope.”
This milestone graduation not only represents a new beginning for the women who completed the training but also establishes Pakistan’s role in advancing inclusive beauty, women empowerment, and sustainable social impact.
