Karachi: Thomas Eberhard Schultze has officially taken charge as the new Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi, Pakistan. Since assuming office, he has actively engaged with key political and business stakeholders in Sindh to reinforce Germany’s partnership with Pakistan.
As part of his outreach efforts, Consul General Schultze paid courtesy calls on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori. Discussions centered on areas of mutual cooperation, including governance, trade, education, and cultural exchange.
The German Consul General also met with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), where both sides explored opportunities to expand bilateral trade, investments, and industrial collaboration. Germany remains one of Pakistan’s leading European trade partners, with potential for further growth in renewable energy, technology, and manufacturing sectors.

Thomas Eberhard Schultze is a seasoned German diplomat with extensive experience in international relations. His distinguished career includes:
- Serving as Consul General in Toronto, Canada
- Appointment as Ambassador to Croatia
- Senior roles at the German Foreign Office, including Head of Division for Visa Law and Administrative Court Litigation
Schultze holds a Master of Public Administration degree, is a qualified lawyer, and has completed legal internships in Koblenz, Speyer, and Jakarta.
Under Schultze’s leadership, the German Consulate General in Karachi aims to further strengthen economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Germany, while fostering greater people-to-people exchanges.
