Terror From Across the Border: India Blamed for Khuzdar Blast

“India plans and funds terror operations in

Pakistan, and the Khuzdar incident is

part of this broader campaign”

Islamabad: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has reiterated that Indian state-sponsored terrorism is responsible for the deadly attack on a school bus in Balochistan’s Khuzdar on May 21.

At least six people, including three students, were killed and over 40 others injured—most of them schoolchildren—when a bomb targeted a school bus near Zero Point on the Quetta-Karachi Highway. The vehicle was headed to the Army Public School in Khuzdar Cantonment.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad alongside Interior Secretary Capt (retd) Khurram Muhammad Agha, the DG ISPR held India accountable for orchestrating the attack through what he called its proxy terror network “Fitnah al Hindustan”.

Key Highlights:Khuzdar attack fits India-backed terrorism pattern, says ISPR

  • Pakistan has “irrefutable evidence” of Indian involvement
  • BLA offered to serve as India’s “military arm”
  • BYC accused of aligning with hostile narratives
  • Terror attacks have no link to Baloch identity

India Sponsoring Terror Attacks Across Pakistan: ISPR

Lt Gen Chaudhry emphasized that India has been involved in terrorist activities across Pakistan since its inception. He said, “India plans and funds terror operations in Pakistan, and the Khuzdar incident is part of this broader campaign.”

He accused Indian intelligence agency RAW of supporting the October 2024 attack on the Chinese envoy in Karachi and the March hijacking of the Jaffar Express, where over 400 passengers were taken hostage.

Indian-linked social media accounts, he added, had hinted at both attacks beforehand. “These are coordinated efforts by Indian proxies operating under RAW to destabilize Pakistan,” he said.

‘Khuzdar Attack Targeted Pakistan’s Future’: Interior Secretary

Interior Secretary Capt (retd) Khurram Agha termed the Khuzdar school bus bombing “an attack on Pakistan’s values, its education system, and innocent children.”

He added that early investigations confirm the attack was orchestrated by Fitnah al Hindustan, a network of terror proxies supported by Indian intelligence.

“India’s terror proxies failed in Operation Sindoor and have since focused on soft targets like children, labourers, and development workers,” he said. “But Pakistan will dismantle these networks.”

India’s Historic Role in Destabilizing Pakistan

The ISPR chief reminded the public of past instances of Indian aggression, including:

  • A 2009 dossier handed to India proving terror involvement
  • The 2016 arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in Balochistan
  • A 2020 dossier submitted to the UN
  • Confessions by surrendered terrorists linking themselves to Indian handlers

He also cited a disturbing statement from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which recently declared willingness to act as India’s “military arm” if given support.

‘We Will Not Be Deterred’

Responding to recent cross-border aggression by India on May 6 and 7, Lt Gen Chaudhry said Pakistan remains steadfast.

“India celebrates attacks on children and women. What kind of moral standard is this?” he asked. “These cowardly actions will not deter the resolve of Pakistan’s people or its forces.”

Media Propaganda, BYC Under Fire

Lt Gen Chaudhry criticized the Indian media for spreading disinformation, calling it state-controlled. He also urged Pakistani media to “unmask” the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and its leadership, particularly Dr Mahrang Baloch, for allegedly promoting anti-state narratives.

He stated that the BYC’s space had already been restricted by the state.

Surrendered Militants Confirm Indian Exploitation

DG ISPR highlighted the case of Adeela Baloch, a former militant turned suicide bomber who surrendered. He said she was exploited and blackmailed by Indian-backed operatives.

“India is now using Baloch women to carry out suicide missions—this is the lowest they have stooped,” he said.

Pakistan Fighting Back on All Fronts

Lt Gen Chaudhry said Pakistan has tightened its grip on terrorism:

  • 203 terrorists killed in Balochistan in the first five months of 2025
  • Illegal Afghan nationals being repatriated
  • Crackdown on crime-terror financing routes
  • Illegal trade routes in Balochistan being shut

He concluded by stating that India’s actions were driven by frustration, as Pakistan had unified its civil and military power against terrorism.

Pakistan Is the Rational Player

Calling Pakistan the “rational player,” he said the Pahalgam attack in occupied Kashmir was a result of India’s own failures.

“India responded irrationally and unilaterally. But Pakistan’s resolve remains unshaken,” he said. “This is not a war by the Baloch, it is a war against Indian terror proxies who are killing for money.”
