Karachi: The 7th BUHSCK International Conference, themed “Lifestyle Medicine: A Paradigm Shift in Healthcare,” was held on May 29, 2025, at the Ibn-e-Sina Auditorium of Bahria University Health Sciences Campus (BUHSC), Karachi. The event brought together renowned national and international medical experts to discuss the growing significance of lifestyle medicine in transforming global healthcare practices.
Chief Guest Highlights the Importance of Lifestyle Interventions
Vice Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, Prof. Dr. Jahan Ara Hasan, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In her keynote address, she stressed the vital need to embrace lifestyle medicine, stating, “It is not merely an alternative; it is the essential paradigm shift that empowers individuals and redefines our approach to chronic disease prevention and management.”
She further emphasized the integration of evidence-based lifestyle interventions into mainstream healthcare to reduce the burden on healthcare systems and support sustainable well-being.
